Westport Issues Code Red Warning

WESTPORT, Conn. — The town of Westport issued a Code Red at 7:20 p.m. Saturday, warning residents that traffic is banned on the Merritt Parkway and that downed tree limbs and power lines were blocking many town roads.

The call also warned of possible 40 mph wind gusts Saturday night, bringing the prospect of even more power outages and damage.
