vinzitari@mainstreetconnect.usBefore coming to work for The Daily Westport, Vanessa worked as a freelance reporter for the Valley Independent Sentinel, an online-only news site covering Ansonia, Derby, Oxford, Seymour and Shelton. Prior to that, she interned at The New Haven Register as a reporter, covering a variety of news and human interest stories in New Haven County. Vanessa graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Connecticut State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. During her tenure, she worked as a reporter and editor for the university newspaper.
