The Staples defense has been tremendous this year. The six players mentioned have each made individual key plays this season but as important, game in and game out, they work extremely well as a unit. This group effort has been tremendous and the key to the team's success. Also, the forwards and attacking midfielders have contributed to the team's defensive efforts by applying pressure and getting back behind the ball when needed. This helps the team to regain the ball quickly and establish possession. The team will face a very talented opponent tomorrow -- Trumbull. View Comment
